Hi, I use Nero 9 but I am having a slight problem with it. I have just burnt files etc on to a New DVDRW disc and now want to erase them but Nero not recognizing disc. Coming up No disc please enter disc. Can anybody please give me some advice.Everything else is working OK. Its also not recognizing other DVDRW disc's I have.
This is a common problem with rewritable discs if you: 1) format them with packet-writing software; and 2) have more than one packet-writing software on your computer. If you have added Nero 9 to Roxio, you will have to eliminate Roxio from your system (use a utility to get it all out--it leaves its mouse droppings all over your registry and is very difficult to eradicate). After eliminating any other packet-writing software and rebooting, you may be able to a full erasure on your discs; but they may also be ruined forever unless you use an initializer to completely recrystalize the recording alloy. (Only the rewritable factories have the initializers.)
