I am trying to make a backup copy of a dvd-5 disc. After ripping with dvd decrypter I go to burn the image in Nero, I then get this message "Sorry your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc. Please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the settings of your compilation to make it compatible with the current disc. Medium required for the compilation: CD-R/RW Medium type in the recorder: DVD+RW I am trying to burn it onto a DVD+RW using a DVD+RW drive How can I change the settings, or just get it to burn on my DVD+RW? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What version of Nero are you using. Version older than 5.5.8.0 would not burn DVDs. Go to their website and upgrade. Then, when Nero opens up to the Wizard, it display at the top left whether this is a CD or DVD type of project. Take a look if it says CD, change it to DVD and then select the appropriate project. For images, it will automatically detect the type and drive to use for DVD-r or CD-r.
I have the same problem. I have the newest version of Nero, and it gives errors when trying to burn ISOs ripped with DVD Decrypter. It says it needs a CD-R disc. The problem with me is that I can't use DVD Decrypter's writing software since it won't reconize my burner. It is a new burner and only a handful of programs work with it. Tech support said Nero is compatible, but I can burn the ISOs with it. Any suggestions?
