I have had the same problem burning a few movies using shrink to shrink and nero to burn and don't understand what the deal is. I also tried using shrink and clonedvd on a seperate computer and no luck. Here is the nero log Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 5:35:34 PM Nero API version: 6.6.0.16 Using interface version: 6.3.1.4 Installed in: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\ Application: ahead\Nero - Burning Rom Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 16b Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-5163D>Version: A101 - HA 2 TA 0 - 6.6.0.16 Adapter driver: <> HA 2 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : FUJITSU MHT2060AT PL atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K14RA atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K14RA D: CDRom0 HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-5163D F: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 70254592 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 478MB (489904kB) Free physical memory: 154MB (158444kB) Memory in use : 67 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 29.1.2007 NeroAPI 6:43:41 PM #1 Phase 112 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 276 DVD-Video files reallocation started 6:43:41 PM #2 DVDREALLOC -21 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 1189 Required file 'VTS_12_0.VOB' is not present 6:43:41 PM #3 Phase 115 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 276 DVD-Video files reallocation failed 6:43:41 PM #4 Text 0 File NeroAPIBurnFS.cpp, Line 212 Failed to realloc DVD video files Existing drivers: File 'Drivers\PXHELP20.SYS': Ver=2.03.12a, size=20576 bytes, created 11/20/2004 2:39:26 AM (Prassi/Veritas driver for win 2K) Registry Keys: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)
Hi tripps11 What movies - you're getting a DVD-Video files reallocation failed Somethings up with one or more of the files - could just be due to the copy protection. Using AnyDVD - if you are - using the latest 6.1.1.4? If just using Shrink you'll need to rip 1st w/ something like DVDFab Decrypter or use RipIt4Me since Shrink is no longer updated. RipIt4Me DVDFab Decrypter What error do you get in CloneDVD? Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-5163D>Version: A101 Burner can use a firmware update too - latest is A105
Could be reading from it and uses the external to burn. More than likely tripps11 is getting this error from the copy protection. It fails right when Nero tried to 'gather' up the files to burn so it never actually started to burn them.
I am using the laest version of anydvd. I got know errors with clonedvd, when i put it in my dvd player it just won't read the disk, but if i try to put the same disk through shrink, it reads it and i can see it in the preview box. On one computer i am usinf the biult in burner to read and the external to burn. I'll try ripitfor me, would dvddecrypter work too?
DVDFab Decrypter should work too. RipIt4Me also uses Decrypter (not dvdfab decrypter) w/ Shrink. What media are you using? Maybe why plays in the PC but not the dvd player. Update the firmware too on the burner.
