Hi there, I'm having a problem with Nero that I'm hoping someone can answer. So about a few months ago, I had burned a DVD with 4 episodes of a show. The files were .mp4 and I had used the automatic (fit to disk) and so I burned the DVD and volia. So now when I went back to Nero to created the same exact DVD, with the same Nero, and exact same video files, it says now that the whole project can not fit onto the disk. I've doubled checked all the basic options are the same. How can this be? Even when I go back to the old project file, it says it will not fit now, although I know I burned it a few months ago so that it would fit. (it can only hold 2 eps now) I am thinking that it perhaps has to do with the codec? (wild guess) Because I do know I changed it, but I can't remember if at the time of when I changed this problem occurred. If this is the problem, is there a way to tell which codecs will decode files with a larger/smaller size? p.s. I don't remember what codec I was using before, but now I'm using CCC (commmunity combined codec) Input would be greatly appreciated
It is impossible to be a codec problems imo. The only thing i can think of is you used DVD-9 format the first time instead of DVD-5.
Nope, still the same source of DVD's (bought 'em in bulk) Well...doesn't each codec render the video differently so couldn't encoding vary? I know, I've kept everything else the same, nothing major hasn't happen...no new software, hardware, etc.
