I like to transcode the dvd into a folder first and then burn after. How do I burn it with Nero? I've been converting it into an ISO and then burning with Imgburn? This adds another step and 2 1/2 minutes to the overall process. I clicked on burn Data Dvd in Nero, but then it gave me some message saying I shouldn't burn it as a data burn cuz it has video files on it. Will a data burn mess it up for standalone dvd playback?

Just use Burning Rom or Express in Nero - pick Video/Pictures then DVD-Video files. Now add the video_ts folder.

Burning it a a data dvd will make it unplayable in some dvd players.

unless your dvd player is very modern it wont support DATA DVD playback,

try burning it with a dvd creation software like DVDFLICK
