I read in the afterdawn newsletter, that there is update for Nero Recode . But when I checked with Nero, a update didn't show up. Anyone have any info about this ?
On mine, a link and text , appeared at the top of the " Recently Updated Software " column : Nero Recode v2.2.6.17c "Nero Recode is a tool that makes it extremely easy to compress a large DVD movie to fit a standard 4.7GB DVDR disc. Software also allows converting AVI/MPEG-4/MOV to a DVDR." But when I clicked on the link, I recieved a "can't display webpage error" Maybe my newsletter had a typo error ?
I have eyes but just cant see properly....I now see the entry you refer to. I am using Nero 7.5.9.0 and my Nero Recode version for that is 2.3.7.0...which is a MUCH later version than 2.2.6.17 so I dont know what they are on about, Cheers.
Nero 8 has version 2.9.1.0 for Nero Recode. Don't see any difference between 7 and 8 except for cosmetic appearance and a few other useless utilities.
The version of Nero Recode available on our site is the last version that is distributable on its own, later versions come bundled with "everything" that Nero has. The version was added to our site last week, which is why it shows up on the update list -- the update list includes updates as well as new additions to the site. But ye, the Nero Recode available on our site can be used without the rest of the Nero installed.
