I use Verbatim DVD+R DL with Nero Recode to back up my dvds. Lately, i have been getting the message instructing me to insert a blank disc when one is already in there. Below is my latest log. Hopefully, someone knows what is going on. ********** Nero Recode Essentials ********** Version: 2.3.0.12 Dubya Project type: Copy entire DVD Target size: DVD9 (4152290) 18:15:07 File burn_dvdfiles.cpp, Line 409 Compile DVD: Cancel Burn settings: Target: SONY DVD RW DRU-830A Number of copies: 1 Write speed: 0 KB/s Temp folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Dubya\My Documents\Nero Recode (21757493248 bytes free) Direct burning: true Target media: DVD R DL Shutdown when finished: false Advanced Analysis: false Compress Adaptive: false 18:15:13 File burn_dvdfiles.cpp, Line 233 Compile DVD: init VMG Menus Vobs [13 vobus] 1.42MB -> 1.42MB [R 1.00] Video: 1.39MB, extra: 0.03MB Audio: 0 streams Subpicture: 1 streams 0. 0. i would update nero to at least 7.8.5.0 or above what brand of DVD+R DL are you using Verbatim is the best also make sure you have the most up to date firmware for your drive burner check here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php EDIT YOUR NERO KEYCODE OUT OF YOUR POST TOO!!
Like Zoso said, edit your Nero serial number out. It's at the top of both your logs! Why did you cancel the burn? Might want to free up some memory during the burning portion of the process. Cancel programs running in the background, no surfing or listening to internet radio, etc. Have you tried to put another blank disc in the drive? Agree with Zoso, check for a firmware update for your burner.
Why are you using Recode if you are burning to a DL disc? Just open your freshly ripped files with Imgburn in build mode if you have a VIDEO_TS folder or write mode if you have an ISO and burn it.
