hello, i have had nero 9 for about a week now, but i am having problems with it, in nero vision when i try to burn a dvd even the preview shows up pixelated and all block looking. I can watch it with windows media player fine, and it's an mp4 file. can anyone help me figure out why this is happening, it was fine for about 3-4 discs when i first installed it
I am assuming you are trying to make a DVD Video from that mp4. "it was fine for about 3-4 discs when i first installed it". Unless you are burning the same video as your first 3-4 discs, then the pixelated video is of poorer quality, longer duration, or you changed some encoding values( maybe the quality is lowered in settings).
actually no, the 4 discs i burned were of different movies, and also i never changed a thing. so i'm not understanding why the first few were great and all of a sudden the change, i can watch the movie i was trying to burn on wmp and it's perfect, even tried doing one i had done before and worked fine, same issue.
i just got done uninstalling windows 7, installing windows vista, full format etc, clean copy, first thing i installed was nero 9 reloaded. Same exact thing happened, nothing was altered in any way. So apparently the problem they had was not fixed in my case, for some aparent reason. The thing is i can see the lego blocks/pixelating even when previewing for the dvd. I don't understand, but if i open up windows media player it works completely fine, in there, and vlc. I think i'm going to have to hit up nero for a refund.
i've never used dvd flick, haven't even heard of it actually, but thank you for the reccomendation. I think you may have been right on bad media. Nero 7 did the same exact thing after the whole format and clean install of vista, wierd. maybe something altered it after transferring it to my external. but I know it just acted up out of the blue. It only has happened to two movies so far, so maybe it was my own fault. I have no clue..
lol, you can add a menu with nero too. seems to be fine just burned 3. and all came out okay, must have just not liked the other two.
It depends on the quality/compression of the source video. Some video players pad the video and it looks better than it actually is.
they were blu-ray rips i was going to compress onto a standard dvd which usually it lets me do, but for some reason, it decided these 2 should look like legos
