because I have the same version as you and I still don't know what the hell you are talking about unless you're talking about StartSmart...... then you pick your Nero program to do what you need! so if you can please explain what you mean by Smart Encoding?!!!! then maybe someone can help you!!

If you use nero you would know. when you make a movie out of a mpeg2 file it asks you if you want to use smart encoding or recode the whole thing. If i chose recode the whole thing it takes a long time. i just wonder by choseing smart encode and it only takes a short time to do the whole movie, I'm i losing quality

    Thank You gwendolin
I have 6.6.0.18 and you either use it or not, there is no auto in 6. But i will put a check mark in it and use it because i have read a lot of your replies to other people and i think you are the best when it comes to ner0.
    THANKS again

It only encodes the part of the project which is not consistent with the format chosen, thus reduces the encoding time.
