I have hundreds of CDs burned with Nero, but this week I'm in the Bizzaro world or something. Help me figure out if I'm loosing my mind or what. I drag the WMA music files (I convert the MP3s to WMA because Nero 7 causes skips, but never mind that) into the Nero window set for Audio CD. I can play the files fine from Nero. I tell it to burn the CD at 8x, which is what I always do. It takes the normal amount of time to burn the CD. The resulting CD will not play. Why? Because I explore it and see that each file on the disc is only 1KB. Where did the music go? Why did it take as long to burn 1KB for each song as it would to actually burn the song? Obviously I've accidentally set something screwy in Nero, but I uninstalled Nero 7 and re-installed. Same result. It happens no matter which music files I try it with. What is going on? Thanks.
I can't help you on your question but my question to you is why use Nero? It is probably near the bottom of the heap for music burners. Sonic is worse. There are dozens of free apps that actually work! Having to convert the music to wmas just to burn you music should tell you something. You normally lose quality any time you convert music. Sometimes the loss is small some times it is larger. I have never heard of any problems with any other burning program but there will be several pleas for Nero help on this board each month.
