Has anybody had any luck with Nero tech support? I've been having issues with my Nero program. I've explained it in other posts. Every body here on the forum have been very helpful, however my problem still hasn't been solved. I'll try to be brief. The issue is that I can't burn to dash media no matter what brand I use. I've tried from the best quality which includes Ty Yuden, Maxell, Verbatim, Fuji & TDK but it always shows burn failed. I've tried copying from my hard drive as well as copy on the fly & it's always the same "error" I decided to email Nero tech support & explained all of the issues as well as sending them log files.I wasn't to pleased with their response because I think I explained the obvious to them which would be trying better quality discs.I'm submitting their response as well as another long log file. Thanks all, Jenlicris PS. I'm not sure if the response from Nero can be viewed. <img src="http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b233/jenlicris/ErrorLarge.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.60 (1021), size=45056 bytes, created 9/10/1999 5:06:00 AM ahead WinASPI: File 'G:\Program Files\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 6:35:34 PM Nero Version: 6.6.0.16 Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 16b (Nero Express) Recorder: <LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S>Version: BS0S - HA 1 TA 1 - 6.6.0.16 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <LITE-ON DVD SOHD-167T >Version: 9S19 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.16 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : IC35L090AVV207-0 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : LITE-ON DVD SOHD-167T atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === LITE-ON DVD SOHD-167T D: CDRom0 LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S E: CDRom1 LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-851S F: CDRom2 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 1022MB (1046528kB) Free physical memory: 682MB (698860kB) Memory in use : 33 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 20.9.2005 DVD-Copy on the fly 8:56:37 PM #1 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 8:56:37 PM #2 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 122 Writer LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S running 8:56:37 PM #3 Text 0 File DVDCopy.cpp, Line 293 DVD Track-Information from source disc: Media Type: DVD+R S01 T01 Con 0x04 Start 0 Len 1312496 (gap 0) Blank 0 Res 0 Dmg 0 Open Trk 0 Mode TRM_DATA_MODE1 (0) 8:56:37 PM #4 Text 0 File DVDCopy.cpp, Line 406 Max -1 tracks of 1 allowed to copy 1: 0 - 1312496 = 1312496, TRM_DATA_MODE1, block size 2048, read opt 0 (no read options) 8:56:37 PM #5 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3233 Turn on Disc-At-Once, using DVD media 8:56:37 PM #6 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 270 Last possible write address on media: 2298495 (510:46.45, 4489MB) Last address to be written: 1312495 (291:39.70, 2563MB) 8:56:37 PM #7 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 282 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 8:56:37 PM #8 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2483 Recorder: LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S, Media type: DVD-R Disc Manufacturer: MXL RG - 02 Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193 8:56:37 PM #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 448 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= 8:56:37 PM #10 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 838 Setup items (after recorder preparation) 0: TRM_DATA_MODE1 (1 - Data (mode 1)) 2 indices, index0 (150) not provided original disc pos #0 + 1312496 (1312496) = #1312496/291:39.71 not relocatable, disc pos for caching/writing not required/not required, no patch infos -> TRM_DATA_MODE1, 2048, config 0, wanted index0 0 blocks, length 1312496 blocks [LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S] -------------------------------------------------------------- 8:56:38 PM #11 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1051 Prepare recorder [LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S] for write in CUE-sheet-DAO DAO infos: ========== MCN: "" TOCType: 0x40; still can't see any of your piccies, they come back with 'page not found'. anyway, can't see anything wrongly set in that latest logfile there, so all i can think at this point is your drive might be in need of a swapout..
You log suggests that you are attempting to copy a + format disk on the fly - there may be problems with this copy - would suggest trying to rip to hard disk first and then try burning to - format _____________________________________________________________________ DVD-Copy on the fly 8:56:37 PM #1 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 8:56:37 PM #2 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 122 Writer LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S running 8:56:37 PM #3 Text 0 File DVDCopy.cpp, Line 293 DVD Track-Information from source disc: Media Type: DVD+R
ah, i should have been more clear in my previous reply. jenlicris is having ongoing problems, it's just -R discs that present a problem, +R discs of various descriptions work fine, just not any -R discs...
