Nero 6 Vision Express crashes repeatedly while editing (I've been editing Microsoft Recorded TV show files recorded on my Sony Vaio). I can open Vision Express, add a recorded show, start the edit, monkey with the cut feature (e.g., delete beginning and ending commercials), slide the position marker around a tad and WHAMO! Vision Express crashes...consistently. I've uninstalled (with cleaning tools from Nero site) and re-installed with latest patches. Scott
Hi Scott, I have Ultra also and use the 'time-line' function with no problem. After I have made the modified movie I click 'OK' and then I can go through with the burning process, but I am having problems with the 'Merge Function' in recode 2. I can add multiple title sets and the Merge function should be highlighted, but no matter what I do it doesn't work. Nero has had me uninstall and reinstall as you did with the clean tool, but not-a no way. Do you possible have a virus scanning program open when you attempt to use the time-line function and it crashes?....Richard
Same problem, although for me it happens when I tr to edit certain files, open certain productions, or create chapters. No error messages. Just gone. I closed all other programs. Clean uninstalled all other video editing programs and Nero, then reinstalled Nero. No difference. Waiting for Nero response.
I was having the same problem with Nero Vision Express crashing while editing. I installed the latest update but haven't been able to edit enough to see if it happens again. I can't get past not being able to add audio files to the project. If I add a song for the first time it works but if I get rid of it and try to add it to a different spot it doesn't register, I don't hear the song. I've tried seven editing softwares and haven't found an editing software that works.
I have Nero Ultra [downloaded and kept up to date]. The Nero 6 Vision Express seems very sensitive to other DVD software. After install, it will work fine. aA day or two later with editing and other operations in Pinnacle 8 I come back to burn the final product. Nero opens up, I select make a movie and the dang thing goes to the task bar, never opening Vision Express. Uninstall and re-install, Nero 6 will work again. Pretty frustrating Jon
Yikes, 5 different issues in one thread. Where to begin. Scott (sbrown77), If you can provide a printout of the Nero InfoTool this may give me an idea what you have on your system, and what may cause a conflict with our software. Or at least allow me to try and duplicate your system so as to see if I can reproduce the issue. Also, do you have another system you can test the NeroVision software on, to see if your issues occur there as well? Just to see if this is an issue that is specific to your system? And have you tried with a source video that is small, say 200MB or less in size to see if your issues still occur with small files? Skyderman, I've never heard of an issue like yours before. Can you try as a test downloading two Movie Trailers, AVI or MPEG, and add them to a DVD-Video project in NeroVision, and once added be sure to select both files and see if the MERGE option is then highlighted? Both files must be selected before you can use the MERGE option. Taseck1, You say this only occurs with certain files. Can you be more specific? What type of 'Certain' files? How were they created? What files do you not have issues with? Akapos, When you add a song for the second time it fails to play back in the Preview window? But it does show up in the TimeLine? Did you try going to the Final Preview Window to see if it would play back there properly? If you ran into this issue, but continued with the process anyway and burned to DVD, VCD, etc, will the audio play back properly, or does it fail to appear on the DVD you create? Jon98765, Yes, I've seen this two on some systems. And then on others with the exact same programs I can never reproduce the issue. I've yet to find the catalyst that is causing this. :-( I agree it's very frustrating. I've created a bug report on it once, but our QA team in Germany could not duplciate it. And even on the one system I am able to see this issue on, it does not occur all the time. It's more like 1 out of 5 times. Regards, Craig Ahead Software USA
