i am burning a vcd with nero and i have several tracks (chapters) of the vcd that i want to play one after the other. i selected all tracks execpt the menu and set all of them to have a 0 pause between them. i still get a 5 second pause. i have went as far as to set each track's pause to 0. still the same thing happens. when i am in a track and hit the skip button on the remote i get about .5 second and the next chapter starts to play. i have no clue as to what is going on. can anyone help. thanks in advance gsk nero version 5.5.10.42 I think i have fixed my problem i was burning the cd as track at once i switched to disk at once and now there is only a split second pause from one track to another. i am sure that someone out there was going to tell me that thanks anyway gsk
That's more of an issue with your DVD player (or other device) than Nero. Nero only burns the disk using the VCD standards; the reader decides exactly how to show the movie. Sadly, not all DVD players (etc.) comply exactly with the standards.
PlusOne is right. I get this on every one of my five DVD players. One way around this is to make the mpeg segments into one: http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/mpeg_merging.cfm Then you can use VCDEasy to create chapter points (if you want them). Otherwise, use Nero as before. You shouldn't see a pause after that. Rgds, jnihil.
Hey the chapter points thing ... it just makes the dvd player skip to that chapter ... and still keep the file as one whole. I have the same problem with the pauses ... it's getting annoying ... but it isn't 5 seconds .. it's about 1.5 seconds ... If anyone could tell me what the menu option is for that would be great ... my vcds show it for a split second and then continues with the movie .. i can't choose what to play ... am i suppose to be able to? Thanks!
