Does anyone know if Nero Vision v5 has corrected the annoying flicker that transcoding in Vision v4 produced?? I sent 3 different DVD copies of a basketball game to Nero showing the annoying flicker produced by v4 and no-flicker copies produced by both Vision v2 and v3. They tried to tell me the problem was in the way I captured the raw video. Problem is I was only using Nero Vision to author the DVD, and always use Pinnacle Studio 11 to capture, edit, and produce the separate MP2 file outputs. So all three DVDs I produced utilizing "add file" in Nero Vision used the identical MP2 file, which played just fine. I have an unopened box of Nero 8 sitting on my desk but will have to return it if it uses the same transocder inside Vision 5 as they do in Vision v4. I have contacted Nero Tech Support but don't know how much longer I am going to have to wait for an answer to this simple question (to them anyway).
I trying to do the same thing as you and use Nero the same way with Studio 11.1. I have been using a older version of Nerovision Express, version 3 and works fine, no transcode flicker. I tried Nero 7 a year ago and returned it because of this issue. I now tried Nero 8 with nero vision 5 same results flickering. I have not tried Nero support, but based on what you have already sent them I was planning to do the same. Please keep this tread updated on your progress. Have you seen other forums or Nero support page with folks with issues like ours? Do you know of any other applications we could use with Studio 11 that would work like Nero version 3? Thanks, Mike
ConvertxtoDVD is a better choice instead of Nero Vision. or DVD Flick (this one is free and works great, does not have the option to create menus though, unlike the paid ConverxtoDVD) http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html
You are welcome. Nero would be a great CD/DVD Video authoring package, if it would come without Nero Vision that is so bloated for so many users. Cheers!
