I am new to the fourms but not new to burning dvds, I started out with Nero 7 and Nerovision 4 and it worked for a very long time burning avi and all types of video to dvd, then it stopped burning sound so ive been to hell and back re-installing and deleteing nero's. Now ive got Nero 8 and Nerovision 5 now I just burned a dvd perfectly without any problems like i had before then It was on to the next dvd, I started getting it together with menus, background music, etc. Now the dvd has a part 1 and part 2 both are on the menu everything is lookin good. I go to the preview and there is no sound at all on part 1 but i can play it on windows media or Nero showtime and theres sound? And on top of that part 2 has sound in the preview its only part 1 that dosent? Ive seen alot of these sound problems i just cant seem to find an answer to mine so this is my last option. please help me! thank you
Alright after working for almost 5 hours on this Ive fixed my problem and beleive it will fix other peoples same problem I downloaded codec packs, I forget where but if you search you should find some and it worked fine it took me awhile to figure it out but i finally got it. hope it helps!
I'm having very similar problems. I can not get audio in the Nero Vision 5 preview or after burning the DVD. Can you please post here which codecs you installed that fixed your problem. Nero Vision 4 worked just fine. Thanks! - JR
Nerovision 4 worked fine for me too, but with 5 it was just like the program worked when it wanted to for me but I installed the K-light codec pack from free-codecs.com heres the link - http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm i installed the full version just incase and it ended up working really good hopefully it will work for you too
That didn't do me a damn bit of good. I went into the Codec Tweak tool and it appears that many codecs and filters are not enabled. I select them to be enabled and when I re-enter the codec tweak tool they again appear to not be enabled. Some of them are "Nero Video Decoder" and "Nero DVD Navigation". There also appears to be some broken filters like "ffdshow", "MPEG Spliter (Main Concept)". I don't want to uninstall Nero 8 again and go back to Nero 7 because I already paid for Nero 8. When I e-mail Ahead, they're form letter reply is useless.
ahead really dosent do any good when you have a problem, then again your problem is no sound at all and mine was with certain videos
I've installed the K-Lite Mega codec 3.75 and although I see more codecs installed, all of the Nero codecs listed are not enabled and I can't seem to enable them with the Codec Tweak tool. Anyone have any suggestions besides going back to Nero Ultra 7 and eating the cost of Nero Ultra 8?
nero v8 needs about 8 serials loaded for full codec/plugin... my v8 is ultra edition serial for avi to dvd i owuld use convertxtodvd awesome app or a free dvd flick also good.
All I have is the NERO 8 serial number. So, basically, what you're saying is that I have to purchase all the plugins on the Nero website so that I can do the same thing that Nero 7 did without purchasing the plugins? I asked that question in my e-mail to Ahead and got a form letter reply. This sucks.
it says if installed look at pic for mpeg/dvd codec here is the xvid codec = http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/ here is the divx codec = http://www.divxmovies.com/codec/
That is precisely the point--to disable Nero's en suite codecs. Try this: Download DIRECTSHOW FILTER MANAGER here . It's an open source utility which doesn't require installation. Leave K-Lite Mega codec 3.75 installed in your system. 1. Double-click on DIRECTSHOW FILTER MANAGER icon on your desktop. A small window like the one shown below should open up. Please follow the instructions. Next, follow the order presented below. Now, cycle through the whole process and perform the same steps on Nero Video Decoder. Try processing the same file(s) again in Nero Vision, and see if it gives you any good fortune.
