Hi Can anyone help Ive been trying to use my video camera through nero vision to capture my videos. Ive tried through the usb as in the user guide it says you can use usb, but have had no luck A msg comes up and says no capture devices have been found. my system is xp service pk 2 . Is there anything else i need to beable to use it properly. I know there is a list full of requirements for nero vision NeroVision Express 3 System requirements: Microsoft© DirektX 9.0a or later is required. Optional: OHCI compliant FireWire© controller (IEEE 1394) for DV capturing TV Tuner or video capture card for analog recording. Installation of the latest WHQL certified device drivers recommended. List of compatible devices: Supported Capture Cards DVD-Video plug-in for DVD-Video function and Dolby® Digital 2 channel encoding. I presume that directx would already be installed through the automatic upadtes. Can anyone help?
Nero simply does not recognize a camcorder connected through USB. Use Firewire instead. Read section 2 of http://www.digitalvideoclub.com/basics/transfer.php
you must download directx it can be found at windows update also you will need a video capture card for your computer
DirectX will not help capturing through USB. Furthermore, buying a video capture card (which normally refers to analog capture cards) is a waste of money if you have a digital cam (looking at the system requirements that are quoted). A Firewire connection is sufficient. If your PC doesn't have one, you can buy a Firewire card for a s little as $10...
Just to let you all know thanx very much for your advice, Although all i needed was a sony usb driver and twain driver from the sony site for my kind of camcorder and now it works perfectly. I may still get a firewire card as ive been told the quality is much better through it than usb. Thanx again
