With NVE2 I could drag and drop avi files onto the timeline and then encode them into one mpeg1 or mpeg2 file. With NVE3 I can still do that but for some reason it now puts about 5 seconds of blank space between clips. This seems to only happen going from AVI to mp4 nero digital. Is there a setting I am missing or do I need to join the files into one big avi before editting?
Figured out the problem. My screen capture tool was making avi with 5:4 ratio and Nero could not tell if they were NTSC or PAL. Ran each clip through Nero and saved it at a standard 4:3 ratio and now they will join with 5second transitions.
