Nero Vision Express...I hope it's a basic question??

    I'm using NVExpress on Nero 6.6.0.18, and no problem converting downloaded mpeg's into finished DVD's. I have some DVD-R's that were recorded on standalone recorders and would like to rip into NVE and make custom menus,episodic,etc...Will NVE do the job off of DVD-R format too, or is there another section of Nero I should use? Thank you for any help...

    It should do the job for you. Have you attempted it on the disk.

    No, haven't tried it yet, will attempt later tonight. Just wanted to know if NVE read in standard DVD files. Just seems most people use it to convert over DIVX,etc. files. One more question: is it possible within NVE to clip out a still frame video and use as the background for the menu screen? I figured that I would use a favorite still frame from the same movie I'm putting through NVE...Thanks...

    You may need to use your player software to get a snapshot first. I use powerdvd myself.
