For some reason, when trying to add video - to make a DVD - from my external hdd - I get two errors - on says something like "unable to insert - and then the video path" and the other is attached. If I take the same video and move it to my desktop, no problem. Also, it doesn't seem to happen every time (but does if I try to move a whole bunch at once).

    Any thoughts?

I had the exact same error message when importing MPG's captured from a Pinnacle card. But not all of the MPG's did it. I uninstalled NERO, ran the cleaning tools downloaded from the NERO website and did a fresh install. That fixed it. I also remove ULEAD Video Factory. It has a CODEC that seems incompatible with anything else. PJ

I had the same problems, just happened one day, used to work fine and bam. I even reinstalled on a new drive and had the problem again and again, thanks for the info on the SMCPatch, I ran it and it works like a champ now. ftp://ftp4.nero.com/patches/SMCPatch.exe
