Im using Nero Vision make movie/movie maker whatever its called to make a small 30 secomd video for a dvd menu. I pieced together all the small clips/stills/text and music, im ready to go i have it saved. So i click export to make it an AVI. But it asks for compression settings for audio and video. I left em blank cuz i didnt know what to choose. After exporting/saving the newly made video as an AVI, the file size is 200+ mbs.. This isnt right, its only 30 seconds... How do i make it smaller.. i know it has to do with those compression settings.. anyone know? Im ready to encode/shrink/burn now, but it be nice to get this little video finished for the menu.
thats an uncompressed avi it will be big, look into those settings what did it offer as a choice? xvid also will nero except avi for menu? doesnt it need to be mpeg?
hi Rotary.. thanks for the reply.. i found it by searching on these forums.. i used compression method for video Xvid.. and nothing for the audio compression.. and it came out ok im just making the video an AVI in NeroVision Moviemaker then using ConvertXtoDVD to add all the peices of the dvd together. but I appreciate the response.. i really do lol trust me.. i go nuts when ppl dont respond.. heh I need to remember to do more searches before i post.. but at least all the fresh posts get seen.. so touching on an old problem might not always be a bad thing
