I am using a Sony DRU-500A, with Nero Burning ROM to make DVDs. When I click burn compilation, it says "Waiting for drive to become ready," although I never had this problem before, and it sometimes it does not say this when I try to burn. If I get no error when it is ready to burn, it then won't recognize the blank DVD+R I put in it! The drive works when I use DVD Shrink to copy the contents of a DVD onto my hard drive, and my computer recognizes the drive. So I think it has to do with some setting in Nero, although I never changed any setting before, never needed to. It's either one or the other that occurs, if anyone has any suggestions, thanks a lot.
check your deive paths in the Nero settings make sure they are correct and corresponde with the right device.
