Nero will not burn avi files to disc...?

    I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem, (I am new to all of this). I have Nero Ultra Edition, my problem is that it burns Mpeg files to dvd/cd no problem, But will not burn avi files to any disc. The message "unexpected format" flashes up. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong.???

    I've tried that too with no way to get it to transcode on the fly. If you have Roxio Easy CD Creator Version 7 you can use DVD Builder to transcode the file to MPEG-2 then you can burn baby burn! LOL Good luck! :)

    Can you provide more details?

    Are you using Nero Vision Express, or Nero Express?

    Are you trying to create a DVD-Video, an SVCD, or a VCD disc?

    What error message are you getting exactly?

    How were your AVI files created?

    What version of Nero software do you have?
