I've been trying every program to burn MP4 movies files on to a dvd disc so I can watch my movies on my dvd player, I just bought my dvd player no long ago and on the front of it where it tells you what its compatible with, and it says that its MP4 compatible. So every program that I use doesnt let me burn it and it just gives me errors, finally on this site I thought I found the answer, which was to use Nero Ultra 7, I tried it and it seem to be working but half way through the enocoding process it fails?? and so I tried making a Jukebox DVD(MP3, MP4, WMA) and I get this error too 10:56:43 PM #22 TRANSFER -27 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1779 Could not perform start of Disc-at-once 10:56:43 PM #23 Phase 38 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1746 Burn process failed at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s) so if my dvd player is MP4 compatible, should I just burn the files to a Data DVD??
Yes they will be burned as DATA, many still use CD's, after you convert. You say your your player is MP4 compatible. That usually means Divx (Xvid usually works also), does it have a Divx logo? Nero's MP4's are not supported by too many players. Try converting to Divx or Xvid. http://www.videohelp.com/avi2divx.htm http://www.vidomi.com/
It doesn't have the Divx logo, I was thinking maybe thats what the MP4 compatible meant, maybe it stands for Divx, but who knows, but you say I should be able to just burn Mp4's to a Data DVD and it would work??
Maybe they didn't want to pay the Divx licensing fees, but yes burn as data. Many of the Xvid/Divx movies out there are about 700 MB so they will fit on one CD. Are trying to burn an existing mp4 or are you trying to convert DVDs to mp4?
Nero Vision can convert MP4, AVI, DivX into DVD. If your DVD player is compatible or has MP4, AVI, DivX, XviD certified, then you can simply use Nero Express to burn them as data.
I haven't got to burn the data dvd yet, but when I do I'll let ya know if it works, I would convert, but im very impatient when things to to long like converting, but thanks for the info, I didn't know I could use nero vision.
