Nero write error..

    I got a Nec 1300 a few months ago in a new comp. I have burned movies and cd's perfectly, but now after trying to rip(dont know if cause) a badly scratched cd using dbpoweramp, while trying to burn a cd-r it keeps saying write error about half way through process. Ive tried multiple times, tried shutting down comp, tried nero express and rom. My burner jacked?????

    Unfortunately the 1300s were not known for the "quality" or "endurance"... it might just be that your drive is screwed. Run some benchmarks here and there to verify -- you might want to check for an updated firmware
