Nero worked perfectly for me for 5-6 months, then stopped burning. I used to start a burn before I went to bed, get up the next morning and my DVD would be done. Then it started "freezing" or "stalling". I'd get up in the morning and it either wouldn't have done anything, either transcribing or burning, or it would get %25 (or less) of the way through and I'd have to ctrl-alt-del it to get rid of it, hence no error log.

From these symptoms can anyone suggest a probably cause? I'm using the latest version of Nero, and I like it for the ease of use, and the control over the burning process. I know there other methods out there but Nero worked very well for me until recently and I'd like to get back to that if I can.

    Thanks!

It sounds like you're using Nero Vision and doing avi to dvd conversion. Possible fixes include going abck to an earlier restore point, uninstalling Nero, running the appropriate Clean Tools including the Driver Clean Tool, and reinstalling the current version.

You might also try ConvertXtoDVD the best working converter around imo.

If you can find a log for the project that'd maybe help identify some of the environmental factors that could be causing problems.
