I was following the nero6.6.1.15a update threads and decided to run an a-squared (free) scan on both the 6.6.1.15a.exe and 6.6.1.15_no_at.exe
    The latter was clean.
    The 6.6.1.15a.exe file scan result:
    ---
    a-squared Free - Version 3.1
    Last update: 17-Mar-08 10:54:01 AM

    Scan settings:

    Objects: C:\Download\Nero-6.6.1.15a.exe
    Scan archives: On
    Heuristics: On
    ADS Scan: On

    Scan start: 17-Mar-08 10:55:33 AM

    C:\Download\Nero-6.6.1.15a.exe/Toolbar.exe detected: Adware.Win32.MyWebSearch

    Scanned

    Files: 287
    Traces: 0
    ---
    Classed as "Medium Risk"
    Some "update"

Some pick it up and some don't. There's also a variant of the Nero 6 "update" that installs the weather channel.
There isn't a "one package does it all" malware utility out there as you well know. A-squared has found a lot of garbage that eludes the "name players" and that's why it's in the mix I use, with great success I might add.

I'm using ImgBurn anyway, this more an fyi - you can take it or leave it.
