I was just given a sony dvdwr cdwr that connects with the pc that comes with softwear of nero to make dvds. My question is can I put this on top of my nero 6 that is there already. if that is not a good idea can someone suggeest a free softwear that can work with the sony. the nero6 I have when I tried to do something I was told to use dvd shrink by someone in here on my other pc. And Also once I wanted to download a trial of nero 8 and they said i should remove first the one I have but I have no idea where the id number is to put it back in. what I was given is sony drx-830u and the software says Nero Express ANyway thanks again for helping me and for always giving me baby steps. thank you Ema
if you are going to put a more up-to-date version of Nero on your computer it is wise to uninstall your previous version and use the Nero Cleaning tools to get out all traces of the previous version. You don't want the old version to interfere with the new version. You have Nero 6 so the Nero 6 Cleaning tools can be found here: http://www.nero.com/eng/support-nero6-tools-utilities.html make sure you expand the screen by clicking on MORE DETAILS & DOWNLOAD. Then follow instructions and download the cleaning tool..... but you really can't save your serial # since you are upgrading to a different # version. if you can save your Nero 6 plugins... as they still work for the next version #s! After using the Nero 6 cleaning tool then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! then install you new version of Nero.
IHOE Thank you so much for the baby steps. I was just thinking the Nero I have on the Computer is a more complete version as I was told. so do you think there is some free program I could put on that does the same thing. Because I do like my Nero 6 and I dont want to instatll and uninstall etc everytime I want to use it. With my luck I will probably do something wrong I have already ruined 2 computers by deleting the wrong thing By the way thank you for helping me find the ID number again. I am a little afraid or a lot afraid to mess this one up also thank you so much for help ema
don't be afraid of deleting or installing other programs. Use your CCleaner to clean your registry.... I have about 4 different cleaners that I use plus SmitFruadfix and Diskeeper (defrag program) so my computer is always clean and running like I just took it out of the box! Windows won't get bogged down. I don't suggest you use 2 Nero versions. So if you are comfortable with Nero 6 then make sure you are using the best Nero 6 version which is: Nero 6.6.1.15a Here's how: Before udating to 6.6.1.15a save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://www.nero.com/eng/support-nero6-tools-utilities.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! update to Nero 6.6.1.15a, install Package 1 and Package 2 only: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero6-update.php reboot and you're good to go! This way you will have the better Nero 6 version. this will work fine with your burner. There are plenty of programs that are free and do great jobs. It all depends what you want to do. Here are some programs and guides for you: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/BBMayo_Guides.html Imgburn, DVDFab HD Decrypter, Shrink now you have some tools to work with!
Thank you so much for the good sites My fox it wouldnt work but I put the guides link in my favorites and will look at it later. Would you know why it wont read All I want to do is make some dvds and cds nothing fancy and maybe some editing. I am now downloading what you advised Also I used to use cclenaer all the time on my other pc until I used the reg cleaner and now the pc is being fixed. It must of been something I did wrong as usual thanks Ema
HIiii IHOE I downloade the dvd fab like you said but its not free it was only for 30 days so I took it off and then I went to the tool remover page you gave me to take off the nero I found the page but not the tool lol I am batting 100 lol I am really bad on the pc. Is there a direct link and while I am asking do you know of a free editor to cut a video in half thanks ema
you are bad....... if you hit the link for DVDFab HD Decrypter....... then you would have been sent to the FREE STUFF page and all you had to do is use it like you would use DVDDecrypter which is out of date and can't decrypt the newer movies! please re read my earlier post above!
you think I am bad My teachers thought I was a nightmare. See if I see someone do something I can do it if I write it down, I went to what you wrote a few times and couldnt find the free stuff. My kids have to figure out the directions for games. Sorry I really need baby steps like click the 3rd line etc etc etc If you tell me the salt is on the second shelf in the kitchen and its on the third I wont find it. Please have patience ty ema
my second reply: this is a picture of the links that I told you to click on and download! The guide is there, too, to show you how to use these programs! If you clicked on the link DVDFab HD Decryter, this is what you would get: you can't do any more baby steps than this without holding your hand and showing you how to click the mouse button!!! I'm sorry... this is all I can do for you!
IHOE Thank you so much. I downloaded it . It still says for 30 days and then a fee should be paid but if you say its free. Its free Thank you for the baby steps. I am a genuis I did it lol. I took the artistic genes in my family not the understanding directions genes so I really thank you. ty ty ty Ema
Hi IHOE Could you please explain to me why everyday the program says 25 days 24 days to register etc I dont understand after 30 days will it still be free I am a little lost still thanks
there might be 2 reasons why they keep asking you to register: 1. you downloaded the trial of DVDFab Platinum! and after a certain amount of days you have to buy it! 2. it's been a long time since I ORIGINALLY downloaded DVDFab HD Decrypter and they now might want everyone to register for the use of the FREE program (register might just mean that they want your name and email address for the use of a free program!). If they want money then YOU DOWNLOADED THE WRONG PROGRAM! So, now, Ema609, did you download DVDFab Paltinum (not free) or did you download DVDFab HD Decrypter (freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! program)? And, Ema609, I am not from DVDFab! I am a member of Afterdawn and I have no control over what DVDFab does! so to ask me questions about DVDFab and it's policies...... why don't you ask DVDFab and find out directly instead of asking a member of Afterdawn. We are only trying to help members out and show the way..... but if you can't read and follow instructions on how to do then I can't help you out! by your own admission you want someone to hold your hand and actually show you how to download a FREE program ...... I did my best showing you how to get a free program..... I gave you a link to GUIDES to help you out on how to use the program........ now it's up to you to learn. I'm sorry if you can't seem to download a free program. And now it sounds as if you are blaming me for it! I am not associated with DVDFab so if you have questions about DVDFab ask them. Thank you very much. they also have a guide right on it's website, too. If you can't follow that then I can't help you any more. sorry.
I followed what you said 2 times and I did exactly what you told me to do and I followed your wrong advice so I want to thank you for putting my down I must deserve it and yes I do need help that is why I come here. Do you come here to put people down EMa
I'm sorry but I did try to help you. I actually showed you what to do...... and if you are still having problems then I can't help you any more. sorry! I never come here to put down people. I can't help you any more than what I did already without being in your house and showing you how to download and how to use programs. That I can't do. I gave you the tools that you need to learn..... I can't do any more than that. sorry!
