I was using v 5.5, Nero, and then I had to upgrade to 5.5.8.3 in order to get the DVD burning facilities. (I've also updated to 5.5.10.42 thinking this may solve the problem). The problem is that when I go into Nero, not Nero express, I cannot use my Toshiba SD-R5002 to burn the DVD. It kindly informs me that it can only be used with the drive it was bundled with! Nero express is very sporadic, some times it works, sometimes it doesn't... how can I get Nero to work, consistantly with the hardware?
Try completely uninstalling Nero then re-installing 5.5.10.42 only. If this doesn't work because it doesn't detect the original software then re-install the original software too. Upgrades should work with any drive.
