im done editing the menu i press the burn button and it starts transcoding the video i can see it done in the preview box, but after a minute the previes pauses and stays there and the remaining count down pauses two, nerovision is the only opened program i have pent IV 2.14 with 768 in ram, so i guess thats not the problem

Well nero vision Express is Doing you a Favor Because it"s encodeing Quality is the Worst of allmost any encoder there is...
If your File is a Mpeg1/VCD file then you should not use Vision express because it will ALLWAYS re-encode your File even if it is 100% VCD Compliant which totally ruins the Quality..If it is a VCD Compliant mpeg1 file you are Trying to Put in CD-R as a VCD then you can do it with Nero Burning Rom without re-encodeing....
If your Files is an AVI file then you should be useing a Real Mpeg encoder to Convert the File to Mpeg1/VCD ,Something like Tmpgenc or the MainConcept encoder and after encodeing you can Burn it to CD-R with Nero(NOT Vision express) without re-encodeing...
