I got Cable net at my house and i just got a wireless d-link. When i set it up it worked but 1 night i turned of all the power from the plug then when i tried to go on the net it doesnt come up. Both of my comps wont work. Everything is setup just the net doesnt work, it also says that i am connected to the net.

what is the status of the router and modem? type in the IP address of your router (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) to check if the router is connected to the modem or not.

yes I understand that they are connected, but do what I said to check the status of them. just because they are connected doesn't mean they are working properly

Does your provider have a help desk?

If you've checked that everything is connected properly and you don't have much savvy on what to do next your best bet would be to contact them.

Just for interest sake if 'the net doesn't work' how did you post this topic?

Glad to hear that you fixed it. Can you tell us how? Turn off the modem first, then turn it back on before the PC's, etc.? Just let us know. Thanks :)
