heeeeellllpppppp.... the other day i started up my computer and had no broadband internet connection for no reason i can find...i am still connected to the router and everything....when i looked in my network connections folder my connected had vanished...when trying to set up a new connection it says "the network connections folder was unable to retrieve the list of network adapters on your computer. please make sure the network connections service is enabled and running." theres nothing wrong with the cable or connection because i plugged my laptop in with the same cable and it worked just fine. also everything dissapeared from the device manager...theres not a thing there.... videos run fine but no sound cause its not finding the sound card....also thge morning i first had this problem the taskbar was a different color...it was blue and is now gray (i obviously didn't change it myself) can nnneebody help??

OK. Since you didnt say you already did this.. I will ask(yeah its a noob question, but sometimes forgoten) Rightclick on "My computer" tehn go to "properties" then go to the "Hardware" tab. Then go to "Device Manager" Then check your network adapters, nad see if your network card is in there. It may be that your network card got uninstalled. Or that your NIC is fried...

    Anyhoo get back to us.

    Thanks,

if you have the cd that came with your motherboard, instert that into ur cd rom and run the setup for sound and audio devices, secondly if your using a built in vga, install the vga drivers from the cd as well

actually it would be best if u installed all the drivers on ur motherboard cd, incase u don't have the cd, and u know the model number of your motherboard, just go to the manufacturer's website and look for ur motherboard under products/download section and download all drivers available and install them

incase u don't know ur motherboards make and model, download a software called CPU-Z, its less an 1MB i think, it will give u information about your mainboard/motherboard and just google for that or go to the manufacturers website and get the drivers

oh and under device manager double click on the first option in the list which should be ur computer name to make sure its expanded, a plus sign shows its in compact state and a negative sign shows its expanded, when its expanded you should be able to see all your computer components

in device manager , nothing, not even your pc at the top ?
if you just have a pc icon and the name of your pc, click the + sign to the right.
