Hi first off im not sure this is the right place to be posting this topic so if its in the wrong i apologize. Since about a week ago ive noticed that all my downloads, even over my home network, are capped at 180kb/s. Ive taken my notebook to work tried it there and still the same problem. ive also tried connecting via the ethnernet cable but no impovement. both wireless and wired are capped at 180kb/s. On my desktop which is also wireless i get full speed of usually around 400-500kb/s. my notebook used to work perfectly but now im thinking my only option is a reformat if itll work. any suggestions would be great. oh and by the way im using Windows Xp Thanks.
Run an internet speedtest at: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest Please post your results. You could also try a system restore.
