I have two computers. One is working completely fine and connects to the internet, As you can see here. My other computer, in my room has just had a clean install of windows xp. And I connect it to the router. It's connected,and it says so, but won't connect to the internet. I've even installed another network card, and a brand-new ethernet cable. And it still won't connect. So I know that's not the problem. Is there something I'm missing or forgetting to mention? Let me know. Please. Thank you.
was the other computer on the net 1st thru the modem before getting the router to get 2nd computer on the net? if so, did you do an ipconfig/release 1st before hooking the router up or disconnect power & cable/telephone cord for 20 secs before reconnecting them?
