    hi all
    i have being trying to ftp my xbox for weeks. i have flashfxp and auto installer by little jonny. i change my cpu ip to 192.168.0.1 then open flashfxp press f4 open a new site manager enter ip 192.168.0.3 then enter the user name and password (xbox) i wait about 20 seconds and get a message saying connection timed out. i am using a crossover cable straight from my pc to my xbox.

    do i have to change my ip on my xbox or do i need a new dash.

    try this;

    set your xbox IP to static and use the settings

    IP-192.168.0.222
    subnet-225.225.225.0
    default gateway-192.168.0.10

    Now change your pc settings to this

    IP-192.168.0.223
    subnet-225.225.225.0
    default gateway-192.168.0.10

    Now go into your flash fxp and use the settings

    IP-192.168.0.222
    username-xbox
    password-xbox

    If it doesn't connect, there is something wrong.

    PS-you didn't say that you used a router,so I didn't take it into account.

    good luck

    i had the same problem as jthrogo nothing but timeouts with ftp, i took out the default gateway setting in the xbox and it worked okay after that.
