Hi I have done this with my pcs before but it was from xp to vista

What I did is enabled network sharing on both of my pcs by doing something in controlepanel/system. Then I put files in the new directory sharing then go into connections click view computers and other devices you should see the name of your other pc click on it enter password and your in.

Also click on remote desktop in accesories and enter your computers ip adress to have complete control over your other computer. this is great.
