your firmware is a little out of date..... update to 1.22 your version of Nero 6 is not the stablest version.... 6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how: Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! install package one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539 then install package two: http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html reboot and you're good to go! you're using CMC MAG disks........use better media! Stick with the MIJ rule (Made In Japan). Look for the MIJ on the label of the box of spindle (Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Maxell, and some Fuji)... the only exception to this rule is Verbatim, which is top notch media but made in Taiwan/Singapore and the only non MIJs I will use. I know you're using the Pioneer drive but the DMA is off on the other drives and if you're using that to read your disks could cause a problem. here's how to fix it: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues you're basically at the minimum amount of RAM to run Nero and you're using 72% of it! Shut down all unnecessary programs running in the background and no internet or multi tasking! along with using bad media you are burning too close to the edge of the disk..... that could stand for trouble, too! Burn no closer than 4400MB! Set Nero at that mark in Custom Settings. also a good cleaning of your drive will work wonders.... sometimes dust can get in there and cause trouble...... check it out.... a good shot of compressed air in a can can do wonders!
