i dont have a clue how to burn onto a cd/cdrw/dvd to make it either a vcd or dvd. it is 500 megs.. so can fit on cd.

me not knowing much tried to just copy the files onto a cd and burn them because i dont know much about these file types. i stuck the burnt cd into dvd player and it stared spinnin and went to a black screen so i thought i was onto something. but then it went back to a blue screen and in the corner it said something like ' VCD 1.0' and done nothing.

so any ideas of how i can get this working? programs? blow me away with ur knowledge.

    much appreciated.

Ok, lol. its just me talking to myself and i done it. Before i didnt have much knowledge about the .rar fiels and what i could do with them with mac, i seen the WinRAR version of mac and also MacRAR and i couldnt particularly be bothered to set up all the commands in darwin. So i found an alternative and am telling the rest of u mac people if u have the same problem and you are using a mac, but i also used a pc because its easier to do :)

Get UnRARX. Use this program to open the .rar file and it will automatically decompress all of the .r00 to .rxx files into a .bin and .cue. then i transfered these onto a pc and used isobuster to extract them as a mpg. then i used nero to burn the vcd and voila.. there is problably many more ways which is simpler than this where you dont have to skip between the platforms, but i have had 100% success doing it this way with 4 disc's (i know not too many but more to come).

If you have any other methods to do this where you dont have to skip between the mac and pc then please post and i would be interested and also people who dont know would be.
