New Blank DVD's

I just bought new Sony and Maxell blank DVD's. I cannot get the blank DVD's to be recognized by my burner(internal Sony DVD burner). DVD Shrink keeps asking for blank media.

I loaded my last older version blank DVD and it works fine. What is wrong?

 

Is the firmware up to date on your burner?

 

Are these the same brand as you usually use?
do they work in a different burner?
try a different brand.
