Ok a friend and i just reinstalled windows vista on both computers. we installed all the drivers and games that we were going to play on lan. Now when we play on lan like the game GRID it seems to be loosing connection. The name of the player turns red and it starts lagging. PC specs are as followed: 1st pc is a core 2 quad 2.4 @ 3.0 with 2 GB OCZ SLI Ready pc 6400 800mhz Nvidia 780I Motherboard. 800 watt power supply. 2nd PC core 2 Duo 2.1 @ 3.0 with the same memory 680I LT motherboard 600 watt power supply. we've connected a router with the same issues. turned off all firewalls. still get the same results. Playing supreme commander Forged alliance 1 on 1 and its been behind in data transfer. If any one has any idea or clue on why its loosing data. it would be great. Is this a network problem? could it be fixed? we've connected them from one computer to another. plz help

Vista has big network issues. Make sure you have service pack 1 and google 'vista slow network' - there are articles on how to speed up vista's networking setup.
