I have the same problem an hp lightscribe 740b dvdrw. I just bought my hp pavilion about a week ago, it only burned one movie with dvd decrypter, now the burner wont recognize any of my blank dvdrs or my other burned dvds. It keeps saying that I dont have a disc inserted but I do!!

Double check your backup target setting in dvd shrink.

When you click the backup tab on dvd shrink-the screen that pops up is your Select Backup Target. If your dvd-rw drive isn't selected-click the "v" icon to the right and let it open up. Look under Burn with nero, and click on your dvd-rw drive. It'll give you a black checkmark. Here's a pic of mine, look at the squiggly red circle. You want your dvd-rw drive listed there, not harddisc/iso or anything else.

Ignore the green circle.I believe that is for autoburning with dvd decrypter? I don't believe you want that.

    Also double check another setting:
Open up dvd shrink/edit/preferences/ FILE-I/O- make sure the box that says enable burn with nero is ticked, and OK.

These setting are what I use to rip with dvd shrink and let nero autoburn for me. Some newer releases have trouble with this combo.

You'll need nero burning rom. If you downloaded nero express.

Thanks for the Info! however while i was at it and before your message i did find a way to burn copies of my dvd's, but it is a little bit different than what i did before, what happened here is i made and ISo image file and when it came to the option to burn on disc it used SONIC program that came with my HP and made a Movie.... now what is the difference in the ISO image file or the Video ts file? and what is better. LMK
