Hey guys Ive decided its time to upgrade my tower, yes just my tower. So ive been looking around and went on ebay, I thought i saw some deals that were too good to be true like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=280343552760&Category=179&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2 Im just not sure if this will last like a year before it cops out, are they quality components on that Pc or just cheap wanabe stuff? Another option would be to build my own but im just not sure if i can get the same specs for 300-400 pounds. Any opinions would be great. THANKS AFTERDAWN
Very low quality. Also very slow. Intel makes great CPUs, but this does not have one of them. Also, Intel makes terrible video and this has intel video. From the pictures, the ram seems to be Veluram and the mainboard is ASRock; these are both brands to avoid.
Ok thanks mate, how about this? it is a dell referb, I think it is good for a start but i do intend to upgrade components and look into overclocking etc. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=230339669217 any advice?
or maybe this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=380118837637 but for 100 quid more it could be a good deal. Are these easy to OC and upgrade thow, also what are they like for reliablilty? thanks
The first one you posted looks like a decent starter system. No overlocking on Dells. Also, it is a slim case, so it only supports low profile cards.
Systems like the Dell Vostro are a good starting point. It has almost no graphics capability of its own, so you will want to upgrade that if you need any graphical power out of it but unlike the first PC you posted, it can be trusted.
