New DVD problems

    I just purchased my first DVD plaver a Phillips MDV450SL along with a new Spiderman DVD. Whenever I play the DVD it keeps going bright to dim~bright to dim over and over. Is this the DVD or a player problem. Sorry I am a newbie to this format!

    This is actually a copy protection. Do you have it hooked up to anything like a vcr or something that could record from your PC.

    P.S. Sorry for the late reply, usually the board is faster.
