HI ya, I have taken my old dvd burner from the old computer and
put it in this new one.
Ok.. everything went fine, till I turned on the computer.
    This is what it says....
    Floppy Diskett Seek Failure
Press F1 to continue, or F2 to boot menue.
What am I missing in the start up Bios?

Ok first off, let's check this link
Set your drive to master if it isn't allready.
Then get back to me if problems persist.

    @waterwitch

I bet you pulled the plug out of the floppy disc drive when you installed the dvd drive. I did this the first CD-RW drive I ever put in my first pc. Open it up and check those connections, power and data cables. Make sure they are seated all the way, cause your pc can't find your floppy drive.

I just checked, and my jumpers are in the correct order.
Top is master, bottom is slave. (Please tell me this is right)
It still says, floppy disket seek failure.
BUT there is one wire hanging from the power box. It doesn't go
with any parts though.( I checked again the old dvd player as
    well)

Ok and you're sure all of the DVD power cables are in right?
As for your jumpers, they are set right.
Can you try booting in safe mode also. See if you get past the screen?

If you don't have a floppy then go into your BIOS and check to be sure it doesn't think you do. Under Drive A/B make sure it says "Not Installed" or whatever and change it if necessary to it does.

Also make sure your boot order is 1. CD/DVD-ROM, 2. HDD, etc.

Just a tip waterwich. If your pc is a DELL then the drives, both, should be set to Cable Select. I mention this just in passing. You sound pretty confident around your pc.

EDIT:The wire hanging, does it have a plastic cover protecting it's plug? If so it's just an extra power cable. Maybe for a floppy or extra HDD. If unprotected it may have been plugged into something. JM2C
