i downloaded a simpson episode that has 15 seperate files and im very familiar with winrar and extracting files to bin/cue or avi. But these files dont show any icons meaning winzip or winrar and under properties it says its just a file no name. heres an example of what it is can someone help me extract it? also i tried renaming it to set as avi or tried to make it a rar file doesnt work.

.001, .002 in such circumstances are either a set of rar files or a split avi. If it is a split avi then the .001 file should behave as an incomplete avi, since that is what it is. Not really seen outside of usenet either where you would have a par2 file to check/rejoin it.

You say that it isn't a split avi or rar set though in which case I can't think what it is.

Usually if the 'R' isn't there WinRar won't see it from the context menu. Open WinRar first then load the folder then hit the Extract icon.
