Ok, so I finally dumped my GFX 5200 and got a 9600 XT, Big improvement (when the games run) (Oh im running Windows XP) So i installed the drivers from ATI's site, and they worked fine right away, But now when my comp starts up i get an error message, (Product not installed) or something like it, No name or anything just a single error message. So i was like ok whatever, after thats closed everything seems to run fine, Now my issues are with AOE3 and NWN, Both games I just installed, and both games after like 10 minutes of playing Get that Microsoft (Send tis error / Don't send this error) Crash window! AOE3 I can ignore it and alt tab back into the game, But NWN I can't! Its kinda a pain in the ass, I ran Registry Mechanic hoping that would fix it (It didn't, not really a suprise) And ive gone through my add remove programs And theres really nothing left of my old Graphics card (that I can see) Other than that I don't really know where to look (Nothing left in Device Manager either) Any programs or tips to help me out? Thanks
You may want to contact ATI support staff for something like this or you could consult your manual. For some games that run into problems when a special feature from the graphics card works better when it is disabled...
yeah i would call ATI, or even try reinstalling the drivers reboot and try them again. have you ran the control center ATI overdrive? to match it with your system?
