New Harddrive On Soft Mod..Help

Is it possible to add a second harddrive or replace the initial harddrive to a much larger 1 on a soft modded xbox?

Yes you will need to Use XboxHDM(Hard Drive Manager)to format your new Drive for the xbox here is a Tutorial

I have a question.....Why do you need XBoxHdm to format your HDD...Why can't you just install the HDD and boot Slayers's Disk and Format it there

 

since you don't have modchip, how do you boot xbox with a brand new hdd?

 

Yea you will get an error message unless you have a Modchip........
