i have maxtor 250 gig 7200 16mb i have cloned the drive properly with xboxhdm i am positive i have the correct hdd key and liveinfo and unlockx state that the drive is lockable, but not 1 program will work....unlockx states drive#1 will not lock....i have even tried on an older computer, lockhd from a floppy...nothing will work....currently i am trying to track down a friend who has a softmod with the tsop flash....so if i can get a hold of him i'll try locking it with configmagic.....but seriously any help would be great

you need the eeprom not the hddkey or liveinfo....

say you download a fresh xboxhdm1.9 then extract .. on its C folder you put a retail ms dash ... and on its EEPROM folder you put your real eeprom.bin ... once u burn the iso take out disc reboot press F2 change boot order make sure that cd drive runs first then hd . save settings power it off take dpc hd off put xboxhdm disc plug the new hd on the same ide cable where the cd drive is and change the jumper setting on hd master and cd drive slave...

once you build partitons then go to 3) mini linux w/locking unlocking utilies... type in lockhd -a

exactly like that ... once that is done stick it on the xbox ...
if you get error code 06 its wrong eeprom !

you should of backed up your eeprom ... <<<<< most ppl dont so i just said it in advance.
