Thanks for all the great posts re transferring video to
    the ipod.

I have used both DVD Decrypt and DVD shrink and also Videora and Nero Recode and I can never ever get any MPEG4 videos to load into itunes or my ipod. When I try to add them itunes does nothing if I drag and drop or use the 'file>add' method.

I want to get the highest quality possible for viewing on a TV. I
ripped using DVD Decrypt and then followed 'bodacious's' guide for 2.35:1 video to the letter but the movie just wont transfer into itunes.

The only format that has worked so far for me is using nero recode and selecting the 'portable' profile but this results in relatively low res 320x??? movies in H.263.

I am tearing my hair out, can't figure out why this is not working.
No MPEG4 videos whatsoever will transfer. I don't even get an error, itunes does nothing! I run a network of 30 computers and 3 servers so I'm not a newbie to a pc.

I have the latest firmware update and ITunes.

I have also used Nero Recode and tried to make MPEG4 files, however this does not work either!

I have now followed about 6 separate guides, made sure the macroblock and bitrate levels are correct but have had no joy. (note: The MPEG4 files do play fine in windows after conversion).

Anyone have any ideas? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards, Phil
