Hello, I am new to this forum, but I have alot of useful tips especially when I just started using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. But my question is, I heard about DivX, but never have used it before. When the Divx package went for free that one day, I downloaded it. I didn't run/install it yet, because I want to know DivX well before I use it.

Can you guys explain to me what and how to use DivX? Thank you.

DivX is a media container based on avi. It is also an ASP MPEG-4 video codec.

With the converter package, I guess you should be able to rip the DVD using DVD Decrypter, drag and drop and get a .divx file which you can then playback via PC or a DivX certified (also non certified probably) player. As I understand it, it is pretty automated and there aren't really any settings to tweak.

If you want to know more about DivX, I would suggest that you check out their site.
