Hey guys. I'm new to the DVD stuff. I need to ask a question... I don't know if this is the right place to ask but my question is... I have a 700MB CD-R. I want to convert my .rmvb file into a file that can be played using my CD-R. Is it even possible to do that? Sorry if I placed this thread into the wrong topic... All posts are appreciated
Hey kikzm33z When you convert the .rmvb file it will no longer fit on a cd-r - unless it's a really small rmvb file. You'll need to burn to a dvd instead if you want to play it on a dvd player. But if you just want to play it in the pc - then just burn straight to the cd as a data disc. Here's a good free burner if you need one -ImgBurn. Use the build mode to add and burn the files.
Thanks, I have successfully found a DVD-RW with 4.7GB of data. I'll try that burner EDIT: Help... How do I burn my VIDEO_TS file into my DVD+RW? Even more confusing, how the hell do I format my DVD? It won't let me format it.
Use ImgBurn. Then just go to mode>build and add the video_to burn. Here's a guide - link. You shouldn't need to format the +RW disc - erase it maybe if it's been written to.
Ok - what's happening? Do you mean cause you need them for later or you get an error when trying to erase?
I give up... The DVD file takes 30 minutes to be converted, I've deleted it 3 time because it took up 3GB of my space and I can't be bothered doing it again. Thanks for helping anyways.
Hey 30 min ain't bad converting time - some take a lot longer then that 3 gig is about right - you're converting to another format so the size 'grows' If you change your mind just let us know.
